For our topic Far Wi Bide, we wanted to try some Scottish food. We made Lentil soup, and tried it with a rowie. We had to peel and chop the vegetables to make the soup. We learnt how to use a knife and peeler safely, as well as having to make sure we washed our hands before cooking! We also had to measure out our lentils and stock to add to it. After this we let the soup cook until the vegetables were soft. We tried our soup after it was blitzed until it was nice and smooth. Lots of us enjoyed the soup and even had a second bowl! But we all tried it, and all helped make it which was important to us.
