Making Dips

This week as part of our ‘Foods of the World’ topic we worked in small groups to make different dips. We spoke about where the dips came from and tried to guess which ingredients we would need for each of the dips then we carefully followed the recipes to create hummus, guacamole and raita. We had to work together to very carefully chop, blend, dice, mix and mash all of the ingredients that we needed.

After we had created all of the dips we carefully chopped carrots, celery and pitta bread into batons so that we could taste all of our delicious dips and discuss what they tasted like.

We all really enjoyed creating the dips and trying something new, some of us even found that some of the foods we previously thought we didn’t like actually tasted quite nice when they were diced up small and mixed into a dip!
