Our class smoothie challenge was to make a smoothie using carrots. Our recipe included papaya, carrots, lime, strawberries and raspberries. We first had to design our own smoothie packaging for our smoothie. We then helped to make the smoothie. We even tasted the lime!
Some of the children loved the smoothie, others didn’t. Ms Baxter didn’t really like it.
The class held their Commonwealth Games on Wednesday. Each child created their own country and they had their flags for the opening ceremony. The children worked in groups to make a piece of music for the opening ceremony. For the sporting events, each child chose gymnastics or long jump. All the children worked so hard and tried their best in their event. The whole class took part in a netball match in small teams. Finally, the children were awarded the medals they had made in our medal ceremony.
The children have worked so hard during our Commonwealth topic and all their hard work was clear on Wednesday. I was so proud of all them and especially their sportsmanship. Thank you very much to those that came to watch and support the class.
Mrs McNulty is so proud of the brilliant animations the boys and girls created as part of our Technology topic. The children mind mapped their ideas, developed sets and characters, created storyboards and constructed their sets! Finally they were ready to film and I’m sure you will agree the results are fantastic!
Here is an informative video about our Snack Ninja competition. We will be trialling this in health week to promote healthy eating and snacking.
