Primary 6 have had an exciting start to term 4. We found out our new topic by becoming archeologists and digging for evidence. We found 4 words written on some terra-cotta slates. These were our clues for our topic – we worked out pretty quickly it was the Ancient Greeks! We were very excited about our topic – particularly the Gods and Goddesses. We made a mind map of what we knew and what we wanted to find out. We also decided to present a talk on either the Gods and Goddesses, the Olympics or the warriors of Ancient Greece.
So far we have crelated a family tree of the Gods, read some Greek myths, and started creating a newspaper article on Cronus eating his children! Not forgetting our exciting class novel – Percy Jackson and the lightning thief.
