Primary 1 have started this term with a new topic called ‘Enchanted Woodland’. A special Stickman teddy has been setting challenges each day for the children.
Our main Numeracy focus this week was learning how to collect and display information. Stickman challenged the children to find out which was the most popular animal in the woodland. They had to conduct a survey in the class and collect the results as tallymarks. We had a practise run by doing a survey of the car colours that passed Braehead Way.
We had a class vote and used tallymarks to collect the results. Rabbits were the most popular! We displayed the results on a bar chart!
