Primary 1 have spent this week exploring the topic of keeping ourselves safe.
We watched the NSPCC video called ‘Pantasaurus’ and learned about how important it is for us to keep our bodies private. We designed our own pants and wrote some safety messages to remind us of the rule.
We had a lesson on Stranger Danger where we learned about keeping ourselves safe. We did some role play and activities to reinforce the message.
We learned about the role of a police officer and discussed how to phone 999 in an emergency.
We made a class safety book to help other children understand some important messages such as don’t play with matches, don’t play with tools or knives, be careful with medicines and cleaning products and ask before you eat.
