P6 have had an exciting first couple weeks back. We have started the ground running with division, even dividing with decimals! We have been enjoying extending the skills we learnt from Yoga to our Gymnastics. This week we learnt some tricky postures such as the dish and the pike. In writing, we have started a writing topic with Dr Johnson from the University of Aberdeen. We are learning how to write a discursive piece, and have chosen to look at plastic waste as our topic. So far we are loving using our previous knowledge of how to structure an argument, and are excited to find out how to reference the sources we will be using. Lastly, we have started coding in class using Scratch. Some of us are experts, and some beginners so we are enjoying working at our own pace. This week we started designing games – it’s great to learn practical skills!
