Primary 1 had a brilliant visit from three paramedics who came to read us a story as part of Scottish Book Week. It helped us understand that reading is not just a school job, but it is important in real life. Once we had shared a story, we got to ask some questions about what paramedics do and we also got to sit in the ambulance car and listen to the siren!
We also had some drama when we entered the class to find Humpty Dumpty had fallen off the wall and smashed on the floor! We wrote newspaper articles to tell people in the school about what had happened.
