Today P4 were investigating the sugar content in some of our favourite drinks. We lined up our drinks in order of what we thought had the most sugar to the least sugar. Then, we turned sugar spies! We took the drinks and looked at the nutritional information to find how much sugar was in 100ml, then had to multiply this number to find out how much was in a whole bottle. After we had finished our spying, we put the drinks in actual order and were surprised by the results. The milkshake had a lot more sugar than we thought, and so did the vitamin water. We then weighed the sugar to how much there actually was, this shocked us the most! We learnt it’s okay to have some of these drinks as part of a balanced diet, and to try and swap juice for water.
