A big welcome back to P6/7 for the final term before the summer holidays! It’s already been a busy few days as we have been lucky enough to visit the Jesmond Centre on Tuesday for a shot of the I-Gym. It was really good fun with everyone trying their best to get top scores. We were very tired out by the end of the session and the whole class loved being able to play computer games but exercising at the same time!
The class were then back on Wednesday to take part in a hockey taster session. We got to try 4 different activities led by coaches from ‘Granite City Wanderers’ and ‘Active Schools’. Everyone tried really hard and worked well together. We practised controlling the ball, scoring, passing and tackling safely to win the ball.
In our writing lessons we are focusing on using a variety of connectives, punctuating sentences correctly and including speech. We are also trying to remember to use a thesaurus to up-level the words that we use to make our writing more exciting.
We have lots of exciting activities coming up this term for example the P7 trip and Bike Ability for the P6s. Stay tuned to find out what we are learning!
