It has been a really busy time in P6/7. We have started our whole school topic of ‘Space’ and have done some great artwork using chalk and marbling inks. The winner of our Burns Poetry recital was Skye Anderson who had demonstrated great pronunciation and clarity during her performance.
P7 got to go to the academy for a transition day which everyone enjoyed. They got to experience a Home Economics lesson where they made french toast, a PE lesson with a focus on gymnastics, a technology lesson using Google classroom and a science lesson looking at safety in the lab and different types of measurement. They also got a separate trip last week to the academy’s library to look at non-fiction texts. Everyone had a great time!
The P6’s have taken charge of organising the school Red Nose Day and will soon be releasing all the exciting details! P6 also got to visit the Bridge of Don Academy’s library with the primary 6 from Mrs Walkers class. They got to use a variety of non-fiction books to answer quiz questions and were really excited about everything they learned!
The class have been really lucky and have been working with a collage lecturer and some of her students in order to produce a short film. This week we have started filming the first 2 scenes which has gone really well. It has given us all an insight into the many different jobs that are needed to make a film. It has given us a great real-life experience!
