P4 got the exciting opportunity to go to Bridge of Don Academy to apply our maths skills in the Home Economics department. We made wraps that we then ate for our lunch. Last week before we went, we discussed how we would collect the information for the filling options, choosing a table and tally marks. Then we had to use our knowledge of fractions to work out how of each item we needed to order. After this, we presented our data in bar graphs. Having our options presented and collected, we wrote our recipe and instructions to go with it.
Then, we were ready to make our wraps. We learnt lots of new maths skills, but also life skills such as how to use a sharp knife safely. We had a great time and can’t wait to make our own healthy wraps at home!
