P 1/2 explored items found at the beach.

Miss Grainger brought lots of bones, shells and stones from the beach. We looked carefully and found that many of the bones we the same as the ones from the owl pellets.  I can see the same shape of bones but just smaller.  This is a skull from a rabbit. It has no sharp teeth for eating meat so we can tell it eats plants. It’s teeth keep growing all the time as they get worn down from eating. This big bone is the same as the little bones from the owl pellets.  We found some bits of seaweed, some sticks and stones, shells, sand and of course lots of rabbit bones. I can hear the sea in this shell. We found some glass but it was really smooth because the waves made it rub against the sand.
